Muwan is born out of our family’s passion for chocolate. It is fueled by the love for our Latin American history and heritage, and the desire to provide a healthier, purer and more authentic flavor to your home.
Drinking chocolate dates from pre-Colombian times to the Native American civilizations that populated Central and South America. It was particularly favorited by the Mayans who considered it a sacred gift from the gods. This tradition was later established in Spain during colonial times and from there it traveled to all of Europe changing its makeup and taste through the generations.
At Muwan we want to bring back the authentic Mesoamerican flavors used by the Mayans. Each cup of our delicious chocolate has a minimum of 60% of single origin cacao, combined with natural spices giving it a unique flavor and aroma. 100% natural bean-to-bar chocolate.

*Cacao Fino de Aroma is a ranking from the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO), which describes a cacao that is exquisite in its aroma and flavor. Only 8% of the world’s cacao production is qualified Fino de Aroma and it is distinguished by its fruity and flowery aromas and its nutty flavor with malt notes.

Drinking chocolate
Bring water or milk (traditional milk, coconut milk, cashew milk...) to a boil. Add the chocolate and stir continuously to dissolve. Let it rest for about a minute. Serve and enjoy. We recommend using one disc per 6 oz of liquid.
Cacao nibs
Add a tbsp. of nibs to smoothies or sprinkle on ice cream, yogurt and other desserts. Nibs can also be used for baking and it's specially tasty combined with granola and other cereals.
